EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

CEPA announces exciting employment opportunities for results-oriented team players with the capability to work to strict deadlines.  Suitably qualified persons are invited to apply for the underlisted positions in policy research and analysis.  Preference will be given to applicants with good drafting and communication skills.  Other required skills include the following:  

   A demonstrable understanding of mainstream macroeconomic and microeconomic theory.
  Planning and organizational skills. Strong conceptual and research/analytical skills in econometric and statistical model building and analysis of economic statistical data.

1: Senior Researcher

The Senior Researcher will report to the Directorate and will be responsible for delivering outputs on assignment to him/her directly or in the role of team leader.

Qualifications and Experience
    The applicant should possess a minimum of a Masters degree in Economics, Finance, or Statistics and at least five years relevant work experience
    Good research skills and ability to identify relevant information
   Computer literate with knowledge of quantitative (statistical and econometric) techniques and software packages and ability to learn using new software packages (including Excel, SPSS and/or econometric packages such as PcGive, Eviews, or RATS).



2: Researcher


The role of the Researcher is to assist in developing, implementing and managing the research programmes in accordance with the objectives of the Centre.  The Researcher will work under the supervision of a Senior Researcher or the Directorate.

Qualifications and Experience
•    The applicant should possess a minimum of a Masters degree in Economics, Finance, or Statistics and at least three years relevant work experience
•    Good research skills and ability to identify relevant information
•  Computer literate with knowledge of quantitative (statistical and econometric) techniques and software packages and ability to learn using new software packages (including Excel, SPSS and/or econometric packages such as PcGive, Eviews, or RATS).


3: Research Associates


CEPA also offers one-year (renewable) appointments designated Research Associates, where this proves mutually acceptable.

Skills, capabilities, qualifications and experience are as for the Researcher.
